1.      Running Reports Overview


Reports can be run from the Manager View in two different ways – from the Comp Grid or under the Reports tab.

 

1.1    Comp Grid

 

After you log in to Compose, click Comp Grid and then the Reports button on the right. 

1.        Select the report you wish to run.

a.      Report Designer is used for running a report or statement.

b.      Excel Report runs an Excel file, when available.

2.       Determine if the report will be run in the background or immediately on another tab in the browser.

a.      The checkbox is checked by default. The report will run in the background and be available to view on the Reports tab. From the Reports tab, you will be able to view the report, check the status, download, and delete the report run.

b.      If the check mark is removed, the report displays immediately in another tab. It will also be available under the Reports tab.

3.       Click Run.

4.      If you choose to run the report in the background, navigate to the Reports tab and click the report you run under Latest Reports. 

5.       From the report viewer pop-up, you can scroll between pages, print, and export to PDF, Excel, Word, or image.

1.2   Reports tab

 

Running a report from the Reports tab gives you all the reports available and more options to filter after you select a report to run.  

1.        Select your report from the Run New Report dropdown, then select Run.

2.       Add any necessary population filters, and select the appropriate CompCycle, Currency, and Report Delivery Options.

a.      LOCAL currency option leaves all employees in their local currency.

                                                               i.      If you choose another currency type, all values are converted to that currency.

b.      Depending on the report you run, you’ll have the option to choose Report options.

                                                               i.      If you check Generate Individual Reports, individual reports by employee are created in a zip file.

                                                             ii.      Under Report Options, you have password and delivery options.

1.        To require a password for the employee to open the report, check the box for Password protect reports and select the field to use for the password.

2.       You can also choose how to deliver the reports.

a.    Delivery to mewill put the report in the Latest Reports section and allow you to download a zip file only.

b.    Email report direct to employee/employees’ supervisoremails a link to the PDF to the employee’s or supervisor’s email.

c.    Save to employee files will attach the report to the employee file column on the grid.

3.       Determine if the report will be run in the background or immediately on another tab in the browser.

4.      Click Run.

5.       If you choose to run the report in the background, navigate to the Reports tab and click the report you run under Latest Reports.
