Comp Cycle Setup Checklist
· Create a Comp Cycle,
and set it to the current
· After the Comp Cycle
is created, set up the Budget if the field(s) already exist.
· Validate and import
data for lookup data.
o Examples would
include Job Codes, Locations, Departments, Salary Ranges, etc.
o Note, for any that
are comp cycle specific, you can export the existing data, update the comp
cycle, and import the data back in.
· Once new lookup data
is in, import any new employees to the Employee object.
· Now that the employee
object has everyone needed for the new cycle, import all employees required to
the new Employee Comp Cycle Object for this cycle.
· After this, if FX rates are changing then import these in
Data Management > Resource Center button > on the Currency Schedules tab.
o The required effective date would
be in or before the cycle start date.
· Validate the approval
structure field(s) that will be used for the Review Chain.
· Once validated go to
the new Comp Cycle and set the field for your Review Chain hierarchy.
· Create any new user
accounts required for the new cycle.
· Update any old user
account if access needs changed or Proxy dates need to be updated.
· Validate the Grid(s)
setup that will be used with the current cycle, including the behavior of the
calculated fields.
· Proxy to at least one
user per role to validate that the role rights, employee access, and review
page look as expected.
· If needed, update any
role access.
